The 18-hole tournament will feature a scramble format where men and women amateur golfers of all skill levels compete in teams. Members of the winning foursome will receive great prizes including an invitation to compete against other tournament winners from around the country for the Liberty Mutual Invitational National Finals at Pinehurst Resort in Pinehurst, NC, March 7-11, 2012.
“The support the Hallmark Health Bone & Joint Program receives from the community, volunteers, golfers and sponsors has been fantastic,” said Dennis Cataldo, chairman of the golf tournament. “The tournament committee made up of volunteers from Hallmark Health and the community has gone out of their way to make the tournament a success.”
“We are delighted to sponsor the Liberty Mutual Invitational on behalf of Melrose-Wakefield Hospital,” said Matt Munroe, regional vice president of benefit sales for Liberty Mutual Insurance. “Local amateur golfers are excited at the chance to play on the prestigious Kernwood Country Club while at the same time supporting the worthy activities of the Hallmark Health Bone & Joint Program.”
Liberty Mutual projects that the more than 7 tournaments of the 2011 Liberty Mutual Invitational charity golf tour will raise in excess of $5 million to support national and local charities.
