O’Hara named president of Hallmark Health Medical Associates, Inc.

July 21, 2010- Hallmark Health System, which includes Lawrence Memorial Hospital of Medford and Melrose-Wakefield Hospital, is pleased to announce that John M. O’Hara has been appointed president of Hallmark Health Medial Associates, Inc., the organization’s employed physician’s group. O’Hara will also serve as a Hallmark Health Senior Vice President.

Dr. Gerald Riffelmacher joins Hallmark Health Medical Associates, Inc.

Golf tournament a huge success for Melrose-Wakefield Hospital

July 2, 2010- With close to 130 golfers and approximately $85,000 raised for the Hallmark Health Bone & Joint Program, the first Liberty Mutual Invitational Golf Tournament hosted by Melrose-Wakefield Hospital was a huge success.

The 29th annual event held on Monday, June 29 at the Kernwood Country Club in Salem marked the first time Liberty Mutual sponsored this golf event. The well known insurance company will host 73 golf events across the United States in 2010 and expects to raise in excess of $5 million to support national and local charities.

Hallmark Health offers tips for safe and healthy summer

June 25, 2010- With the summer season in full swing, Hallmark Health System would like to offer some tips to ensure local families have a safe and healthy summer.

The summer is full of a lot of fun activities that include trips to the beach, backyard barbecues and much more. Still, the same activities can pose a number of health risks the community needs to be aware of.

June 11, 2010- Hallmark Health System is pleased to announce that the organization has been named to the Boston Business Journal “Best Places to Work” list for the seventh year in a row. The award recognizes organizations’ achievements in creating a positive work environment that attracts and retains employees through a combination of employee satisfaction, working conditions and company culture.
