Community Counseling Services provides office-based psychiatric services to adults and adolescents. We also provide follow-up care for patients being discharged from the Inpatient and Partial Hospitalization Programs. We offer the full rage of outpatient care to allow patients to address and manage their illness without requiring treatment in a more acute setting, and return to their most independent level of functioning as soon as possible.
Through our Outpatient Counseling department, we offer a full range of services and treatment modalities for adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations that address the psychological, biological, spiritual, and social aspects of our patients and their illness. We have the capacity to treat all forms of Major Mental Illness, PTSD, Anxiety Disorders, Paraphilias, Adjustment Disorders, Secondary Substance Abuse, and stage of life crisis issues. Our services include:
- Diagnostic evaluations
- Medication education, evaluation and management
- Individual, family, couples, and group therapy
- Psychiatric educational treatment
- Cognitive/behavioral therapy
- Nursing home consultation
- Crisis stabilization
- ECT
After we conduct an individual evaluation, we provide a comprehensive assessment and work with our patients to develop a treatment plan. Together with our patient, we agree on observable and measurable short and long-term goals, steps needed to achieve these goals, and specific goals to be achieved for discharge.
Our expert staff prescribes the most effective way to meet treatment goals and may choose a combination of psychodynamic, psycho educational, cognitive/behavioral, experiential and psychopharmacological approaches. In addition, where appropriate, we involve patients' families to strengthen the network of support and healing.
