Departments and Services > The Bone & Joint Program > Multidisciplinary approach
We understand that you have been living with chronic joint pain that interferes with your daily activities such as walking, exercise, leisure, recreation and work. We are acutely aware of that impact on you so we have taken all of our disciplines such as physicians, nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapist, patient care technicians, radiology personnel, lab technicians, dieticians, transporters, housekeeping and clergy and assembled them as a team to deliver high quality, experienced care to our patients. This team is committed to the promotion of your wellness and recovery.
Our multidisciplinary treatment team is patient-centered and focused on patient education in an effort to restore our patients to their pain-free, active and independent lifestyle. We will be responsible for coordinating a seamless transition from your primary care doctor to the orthopaedic surgeon. If you require surgery we will then get you through your hospital stay, rehabilitation and return to home. We will partner with you every step of the way!
A Joint Care Coordinator will assure that you receive the best possible care throughout the continuum of your experience. We believe that communication is essential and the key to optimum results in joint surgery and we are committed to keeping you, your family and your physicians involved in your care.
