With child care providers in mind, the American Heart Association designed this pediatric course which provides training for those who have a duty to respond to first aid emergencies, such as child care workers, teachers, foster care workers, camp counselors, youth groups, coaches for sports organizations and others.
This course contains information on how to manage illnesses and injuries in a child during the first few minutes until professional help arrives.
The core course content covers: first aid basics, medical emergencies, injury emergencies and environmental emergencies.
Upon successful completion of course, participants will receive a Heartsaver Pediatric First AidCourse Completion Card certifying skills for two years.
Cost: $60 per person. Special Rate: $100.00 for both the Heartsaver AED CPR Class and Heartsaver First Aid when both classes completed within the same month
Registration is required two weeks in advance of class.
