Men and Breast Health

Most breast health issues are related to women.  Breast disease affects a much smaller percentage of men than women, accounting for only about 1% of all breast cancers.  According to the American Cancer Society, the overall ratio of female to male breast cancers in the United States is 100 to 1.

We recognize that men are also vulnerable to breast disease.  Any man who experiences any breast abnormality, such as, abnormal lumps, discharge or breast sensitivity should contact their physician.  Awareness and early detection, even in men, are the keys to fighting breast disease.
