Gaden named chief nursing officer, VP at Hallmark Health

MELROSE, MA - May 27, 2009- Hallmark Health System is pleased to announce that Nancy Gaden, RN, MS has joined the health care organization as vice president for patient care services and chief nursing officer.

Gaden, a resident of Milton, has 25 years of nursing experience in both teaching and community hospitals. She has spent the last 20 years in nursing leadership, serving as chief nursing officer at Milton Hospital, South Shore Hospital and most recently at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center.

Gaden received her bachelor's degree in nursing from the University of Rochester before going on to obtain a Master of Science degree from Boston College.

Playing a key leadership role at Hallmark Health, Gaden will oversee nursing and the other departments that comprise patient care services at both Lawrence Memorial Hospital of Medford and Melrose-Wakefield Hospital. In addition to directing a large component of Hallmark Health clinical operations, Gaden will promote and support the professional practice of nursing, partner with medical staff to provide the best in patient care and oversee a range of service lines.
