Keeping Pace with the Latest Advances in Care
Hallmark Health System offers the most up-to-date cancer care through its affiliations and close work with the American Cancer Society (ACS), the American College of Surgeons (ACOS), and the Association of Community Cancer Centers (ACCC). These cooperative relationships provide ongoing education programs, and access to research protocols so we can continue to deliver the most up-to-date treatments and support for our patients.
Additionally, Hallmark Health Syetem's Cancer Care Program has received a three-year approval with commendation from the Commission on Cancer (COC) of the American College of Surgeons (ACOS). The program received this honor following an on-site evaluation that resulted in a commendation level of compliance with one or more standards that represent the full scope of the cancer program. The criteria fulfilled by the Cancer Care Program includes:
- The program's ability to treat a minimum of 650 new patients per year
- Being able to offer a full range of diagnostic and treatment services on site or by referral
- The ability to participate in clinical research
- Having a number of board-certified medical professionals on staff
