Chronic Pain Self-Management Program
The Feb. 5 Chronic Pain Program has been cancelled due to the storm. Session 2 will take place on Wed., Feb. 12.
Chronic pain is exhausting, you can lose valuable sleep, increase stress levels and lose your motivation to do the activities of everyday life. This FREE 6-session Chronic Pain Self-Management Program (CPSMP) can help you learn to manage pain so that you can get on living a satisfying and fulfilling life. Open to adults of all ages who have a primary diagnosis of pain or care for people who do.
January 29 - March 12, 2014
Wednesdays 9:30 a.m. – 12 noon
Learn strategies developed and tested by researchers including ways to:
Deal with problems such as frustration, fatigue, isolation and poor sleep
Exercise appropriately to maintain strength, flexibility and endurance
Use medications appropriately
Communicate effectively with family, friends and health professionals
Pace activities and rest
Evaluate new treatments
This program is free, however registration is required as space is limited.
