MELROSE, MA – June 25, 2009- Hallmark Health System recently awarded five local organizations with an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), a device that can often mean the difference between life and death.

MELROSE, MA – June 12, 2009- Hallmark Health’s cancer program was recently received approval with commendations from the American College of Surgeons, recognizing the high quality of its programs.

The recent approval allows the cancer center to continue its designation as a “Community Hospital Comprehensive Cancer Program.”

MELROSE, MA – June 5, 2009- More than three million sports-related injuries in children under the age of 15 are treated in hospital emergency rooms and physician offices each year.

According to the Centers for Disease Control, the majority of these injuries in children result from playing basketball, baseball, soccer, football and even gymnastics. In response to this growing medical problem, Hallmark Health System invites parents, coaches and anyone involved in the care of student athletes to a free seminar, “The Young Athlete-The Prevention and Treatment of Sports Injuries.”
