July 25, 2010- In an effort to coordinate services for young children, the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care has created the Coordinated Family and Community Engagement Grant. To address this change, two programs that have successfully brought services to the communities of Melrose, Stoneham and Wakefield for the past 10 years; the Community Partnership for Children of Melrose, Stoneham and Wakefield (CPC), and the North Suburban Family Network (NSFN) have merged under one roof at the former Franklin School in Melrose.

July 2, 2010- With close to 130 golfers and approximately $85,000 raised for the Hallmark Health Bone & Joint Program, the first Liberty Mutual Invitational Golf Tournament hosted by Melrose-Wakefield Hospital was a huge success.
The 29th annual event held on Monday, June 29 at the Kernwood Country Club in Salem marked the first time Liberty Mutual sponsored this golf event. The well known insurance company will host 73 golf events across the United States in 2010 and expects to raise in excess of $5 million to support national and local charities.
