Nov. 30, 2009- Hallmark Health System announces Mohammad Hakim, MD and Albert H. Fine, MD have joined the local health care system.

Both join Hallmark Health from Cambridge Health Alliance and will be located at Hallmark’s facility at 101 Main St. in Medford.

Nov. 16, 2009- To protect our patients and minimize their risk of catching seasonal and H1N1 flu, Hallmark Health System is restricting children under 18 years of age from visiting patients at both Lawrence Memorial Hospital of Medford and Melrose-Wakefield Hospital. This will go into effect on Monday, Nov. 16.

Nov. 13, 2009- Hallmark Health System’s Melrose-Wakefield Hospital recognizes the many health benefits associated with keeping new mothers and their newborns together during their stay in the hospital. As a result the local community hospital will transition to the “Rooming In” model beginning Jan. 12, 2010.

Nov. 9, 2009- Hallmark Health System, which includes Lawrence Memorial Hospital of Medford and Melrose-Wakefield Hospital, has been named one of the Top Places to Work in Massachusetts by the Boston Globe.
