Occupational Therapy helps patients improve their ability to perform tasks in their daily living and working environments so they can have independent, productive, and satisfying lifestyles.  From adapting daily living skills, to ergonomic education, to improving strength and flexibility of the upper extremity occupational therapy services deliver independent living.

Treatment Focus:
Inpatient Occupational Therapy focuses on returning patients to prior level of function.  We work to maximize the patient’s strength mobility, and safety with exercise programs, activities of daily living training, transfer training, bed mobility, and positioning.  Inpatient Occupationalhand therapy Therapy works with a multi-disciplinary team to make recommendations for a discharge plan (need for short term rehab, acute rehab, home care, etc).  We are able to provide a variety of equipment to optimize safety, ability to complete daily tasks, and independence at home.

Outpatient Occupational Therapy focuses on various treatments to get patients back to previous levels of accomplishing everyday living and working tasks.  Our expert licensed and certified hand therapists work one-on-one with patients with physical orthopedic, neurological, or medical challenges to not only improve basic motor functions, but also to compensate for permanent loss of function as a result of:

• Arthritis
 Carpal tunnel syndrome
 Tennis elbow/golfers elbow
 Post-traumatic and repetitive stress injuries

Outpatient treatments may include a combination of therapeutic exercises, manual soft tissue and joint mobilization techniques, wound and scar management, and modalities to increase strength, mobility, and dexterity of the upper extremities.  We also offer custom splinting for a variety of orthopedic and medical conditions, as counseling on how to ergonomically set up work station environments.

Insurance:

We accept most major health insurances, workers compensation claims for industrial accidents and motor vehicle accident cases.  You will need a physician prescription for insurance coverage.  Call any one of our locations for more information.
