The diagnosis of varicose and spider veins are mainly based on visual exam and medical history. Our physicians will check your legs for any swelling, tenderness, and skin color changes. They will also check the appearance of the veins when you are standing or seated. The physician may order a duplex ultrasound of your legs to test blood flow and to rule out other disorders.
