Digestive Health

Normal digestive activity can be described as:

  • •  Movement of material through the stomach and intestine (called motility)
  • •  Digestion and absorption of nutrients into the body
  • •  Removal of waste from the system

When a problem occurs at any one of these stages, or you experience symptoms such as constipation, diarrhea, vomiting, nausea, heartburn, unexplained weight loss, bleeding, and/or abdominal pain your doctor may suggest a visit with one of our gastroenterologists.

These highly trained specialists have extensive training in diseases of the digestive tract, focusing on the esophagus, stomach, small intestine, colon and rectum, pancreas, gallbladder, bile ducts and liver.

We also offer the benefit of working with on-site nutrition services.  Eating a nutrition diet is needed to maintain a healthy digestive system and may prevent and treat certain digestive diseases.
