Social Services-Cancer Support Groups

The Hematology and Oncology Center has on staff social workers (MS/LICSW) who provide psychosocial assessment and clinical intervention to patients and their families regarding their cancer diagnosis. Our on site social workers are available for individual counseling.

Available at the request of the patient, family or healthcare staff, social work clinicians' work closely with physicians to develop a plan that would benefit the needs of the individual. Through support and knowledge we hope to give our patients greater confidence for living fuller lives. The social work staff also provides genetic counseling and testing for breast and colon cancers.
