The room will be dedicated to the memory of Joseph and Constance Caruso and allow hundreds of future patients to experience the high level of care and compassion the Caruso family received.
“Our family just feels so appreciative of the care and compassion that our Mom received during her stay. We want other patients to receive the same top quality care that Mom received and we witnessed throughout her stay,” said Margaret Caruso Wilson. “The nursing staff was professional, compassionate and knowledgeable. The Patient Care Technicians went out of their way to care for Mom. The staff was very accommodating with our large family. We cannot begin to express how deeply we appreciated every act of kindness. This has been the one positive that has carried us through this very difficult time.”
Hallmark Health’s commitment to the local communities is supported by generous donors, like the Caruso’s, who understand the vital role that Hallmark Health plays in the delivery of healthcare services to seniors, children and all family members. Contributions of individuals - grateful patients, patients' families, friends and organizations have never been more important to our ability and mission to provide every patient with the finest care possible.
“We are very appreciative of the Caruso family’s generous donation on behalf of their Mother and the care she received while a patient at Melrose Wakefield Hospital,” said Michael V. Sack, president and chief executive officer of Hallmark Health. “Gifts like these are important to our organization and reflect how the donors want to give back to their community working with a mission driven partner like Hallmark Health. We will use their gift to adapt a patient room specifically to meet the needs of a hospice patient and family.”
