Nov. 30, 2009- Hallmark Health System announces Mohammad Hakim, MD and Albert H. Fine, MD have joined the local health care system.

Both join Hallmark Health from Cambridge Health Alliance and will be located at Hallmark’s facility at 101 Main St. in Medford.

Nov. 16, 2009- To protect our patients and minimize their risk of catching seasonal and H1N1 flu, Hallmark Health System is restricting children under 18 years of age from visiting patients at both Lawrence Memorial Hospital of Medford and Melrose-Wakefield Hospital. This will go into effect on Monday, Nov. 16.

Nov. 9, 2009- Hallmark Health System, which includes Lawrence Memorial Hospital of Medford and Melrose-Wakefield Hospital, has been named one of the Top Places to Work in Massachusetts by the Boston Globe.

Oct. 27, 2009- Hallmark Health System’s Melrose-Wakefield Hospital held its ninth annual Special Care Nursery Reunion on Saturday, Oct. 17.

The event was well attended by more than 150 people. With Halloween just around the corner, children were invited to wear their costumes while enjoying an afternoon of music, activities and snacks.

Oct. 16, 2009-  Hallmark Health System is continuing its journey to facilitate service excellence and quality improvements throughout the entire system through its Achieving Excellence program. This initiative follows an approach that utilizes best practices that have been proven at the finest health care facilities around the nation to create a culture of service, clinical and operational excellence.
