Directions

The Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program guides patients to a more active and better quality of life through education and exercise in a safe and supervised environment. Led by a multidisciplinary team of professionals, the program is designed to help patients maximize their ability to manage daily activities.

Pulmonary rehabilitation serves individuals who have lung diseases including: COPD; emphysema; chronic bronchitis; pulmonary fibrosis: dyspnea; asthma; post-op lung surgery and bronchiectasis. Other lung diseases may also qualify for treatment.

Our approach

In this two-phase program, patients first participate in a closely monitored exercise class led by a coordinated team consisting of a registered nurse, physical therapist and an exercise physiologist. Weekly education topics are also incorporated into the sessions.

In the second phase, which is voluntary, patients continue to participate in an exercise group for one or two sessions per week.

From evaluation to exit, our team is dedicated to optimizing each patient’s level of activity and function (better manage their disease). We will continually monitor and adapt your exercise program as you progress, sending updates to your physician.

Eligibility

To join the pulmonary rehabilitation program you must be referred by your primary care doctor or pulmonologist.

Health insurance coverage varies. Some insurance programs require prior approval before enrolling in the program. Please consult your insurance company about your coverage prior to your first visit with us.

The phase two voluntary program is self-pay and not covered by any insurance carrier.
