This 2 1/2-hour community course is designed by the American Heart Association to be informative, easy-to learn, and appropriate for anyone seeking rescuer skills in CPR and relief of choking (foreign-body airway obstruction) in adults, children and infants. Participants include family members or anyone who wants to be ready to save a life in an emergency and who does not need a course completion card in CPR.
From the AHA: "The American Heart Association strongly promotes knowledge and proficiency in BLS, ACLS, and PALS and has developed instructional materials for this purpose. Use of these materials in any educational course does not represent course sponsorship by the American Heart Association. Any fees charged for such a course, except for a portion of fees needed for AHA course material, do not represent income to the Association."
