Dr. Frenkel joins Hallmark Health’s Lawrence Memorial Hospital after spending the last year in the St. Francis Hospital/University of Connecticut Colorectal Fellowship program in Hartford, CT. He specializes in general and colorectal surgery.
After graduating from Indiana University at Bloomington with a degree in music and philosophy in 1995, Dr. Frenkel went on to the George Washington School of Medicine, graduating with a doctorate in medicine in 2002. He spent the next five years as a surgical resident with Boston University.
Dr. Frenkel was awarded the Alec Horowitz Award in 2002. This annual award is presented to the top surgical student.
