Joseph Murano, DPM, will hold monthly podiatry clinics at the center on the first Wednesday of the month from 1 to 4 p.m. Podiatry plays a vital role in the prevention and management of foot-related complications in patients with diabetes.
The Diabetes and Endocrinology Center opened earlier this year in response to the epidemic of diabetes in men and women living in Massachusetts. The center treats adult patients who have Type 1, Type 2 or Gestational diabetes with a comprehensive program including education, support and management.
Patients also have the benefit of attending monthly group education classes to discuss topics like exercise, health habits, meal plans and much more. Classes are offered during the day and in the evening.
The center also addresses the field of Endocrinology, which deals with hormone-related conditions and diseases, thyroid diseases and metabolic bone diseases like osteoporosis.
Appointments to see Dr. Murano at the Diabetes and Endocrinology Center can be made by calling 781- 306-6370.
